About us
We founded our firm in 2015, after having each acquired litigation and advisory experience in various fields relating to literary and artistic property while working in the leading firms in these areas. Over several years, we were closely involved in many lawsuits while at Kiejman & Marembert. This joint experience allowed us gain a deep understanding of how to best provide pertinent advice and prepare pleadings grounded in the constant dialogue we maintain with our clients. This enables us to design strategies and paths to settlement that satisfy our clients’ immediate requirements and serve their long-term interests.
Having been involved in the creative professions in capacities other than the practice of law, we believe that the legal arrangements and procedural options used by persons involved in those professions (artists, artisans, producers, publishers, etc.) should meet their specific requirements. This requires us to pay special attention to their creations’ contours, the evidence documenting their work, the nature of their commitments and to the public's response to these works.
This consideration leads us to consistently seek the resolution of conflicts, both within and outside of the context of lawsuits.

Lorenzo Valentin
After having been admitted to the Paris bar in 1990 and working for a general litigation firm, Lorenzo Valentin was drawn into the world of publishing and graphic arts in 1992. For almost ten years, Lorenzo ran an independent publishing house, resurrected one of the last typographic printers in France, and was involved in a non-profit association founded for the preservation, respect and integrity of France's artistic heritage, focusing mainly on issues concerning the preservation and restoration of works of art. In 2001, he joined Georges Kiejman's firm, where he spent almost fifteen years handling significant cases in the fields of publishing, literary property, artists' estates, film and audio-visual production and press law. This dual professional experience ultimately led him to establish a firm that handles areas in which he benefits from an 'insider's view' and to become involved in international litigation.

Catherine Denoun
With a Master's degree in business law (Magistère/DJCE) from the University of Paris 2 and as a member of the Paris Bar, Catherine Denoun continued her studies in the United States, where she earned a LL.M. from Columbia University and passed the New York State bar exam. Catherine began her career as a lawyer with Linklaters in Paris, specializing in business and securities law. She then joined Georges Kiejman's firm, where she trained and specialized in copyright, press law and civil and criminal litigation for many years. She then joined the Fabienne Fajgenbaum firm, where she further developed her intellectual property practice. This experience led her abroad for over one year, assisting an international organization with analyzing the legal status of its intellectual property. After returning to France, she helped to develop Laude Esquier Champey’s intellectual property department as counsel. Drawing on substantial experience in providing legal advice and in litigation in the areas of civil law and intellectual property, Catherine Denoun wished to establish a firm dedicated to copyright and property law, notably defending artists and their beneficiaries, whom she both advises and represents before the courts.
